In the making...

This is the fluffiest tutu we've done so far. No idea how many yards of tulle are in this one! Not quite finished yet, but Fairy Natalie tried it on and gave a big "yaaaaaaaay" with her twirl of approval. That's all we need to hear. :) Isn't it beauuutiful?

Teeny update

Hello all you Fairy Cute Fairies!



Sorry I've been a blogging slacker lately...no good excuse, really. Well, ok, I'm a lip balm making fool of a fairy, but this stuff is kickin'! So happy all the fairies out there who went shopping at Fairy Cute's shop have lovely soft lips! And this weekend saw a few fights with the sewing machine, but we got identical brown/pink fairies costumes created and beautified for the lovely Cara who will be taking one of these babies back to Canada with her for a friend. Soooo pretty!

We're now madly trying to get stock built up for future shows and events. I know it's early days, but Halloween is gonna be here before we know it...and that means major fairy slammage! We wouldn't have it any other way. :)

Heading to a special event Phoenix/Scottsdale National Mom's Nite Out this week to meet some new friends and pass out some freebies. Maybe we'll see you there!

Wizards of Fairy Cute!

Our beautiful resident wee folk!

Our precious little pixies were out in full force this weekend for a game of Fairy Soccer! These pics were taken just before the game by our exclusive Fairy Cute™ photographer Robbit - The World's Tallest Hobbit. :) Pink Fairy Natalie decided to make up her own rules and wanted to sit in the goal with her big sister's pink sparkly soccer ball for a while. Then she went and took a fairy nap while Blue Fairy Amanda and I got stuck into some yoga. Better luck at Fairy Soccer next time. We got some gorgeous pictures, nevertheless. :)

We had the glorious pleasure of meeting beautiful and beautifully talented Ragen at last year's Phoenix Faerie Festival...and what a delight she is! Quite appropriately, she has been awarded the World of Froud , FROUDIAN ARTIST OF THE MONTH AWARD FOR JANUARY 2009! Each Fairy item she creates is one-of-a-kind and made entirely by hand.

From the artist herself:

"Each house I create is a one of a kind creation. Many of the items I gather my self, and often go on foraging expeditions in the fields and forest near my house. I like to use natural products whenever possible and the twigs, bark, acorns, walnut shells etc. have naturally fallen from the tree. Nature is never harmed in the making of my products. I always use the gifts that Nature kindly gives me.When I am making a house, a story forms in my mind about the fairy that might live there, what she likes to do, the things she likes to collect, her colors, etc. Giving each house a distinctly individual personality and feel.
