Fantastic Fairy Artist - Rachel Pace!

You HAVE to check out this incredible fairy artist: Rachel's Fairy Houses and her Etsy store

Quite appropriately, she has been awarded the World of Froud , FROUDIAN ARTIST OF THE MONTH AWARD FOR JANUARY 2009! Each Fairy item she creates is one-of-a-kind and made entirely by hand.

From the artist herself:

"Each house I create is a one of a kind creation. Many of the items I gather my self, and often go on foraging expeditions in the fields and forest near my house. I like to use natural products whenever possible and the twigs, bark, acorns, walnut shells etc. have naturally fallen from the tree. Nature is never harmed in the making of my products. I always use the gifts that Nature kindly gives me.When I am making a house, a story forms in my mind about the fairy that might live there, what she likes to do, the things she likes to collect, her colors, etc. Giving each house a distinctly individual personality and feel. These houses are magical and are sure to delight you! They range in size from very small with one room, to larger models that feature multiple landings and features such as hand made beds, couches, chairs and tables, tiny acorn and glass marble lanterns, chandeliers, crystals, and much, much more. I love to fill them with items that a fairy would love. (Things that sparkle! ) There is nothing that can compare to the way they look in person and especially when they are lit up at night. The effect is simply magical, and you will find yourself lost in wonder and opening the doors of your imagination as you peek inside..."

We're in love and hope to meet her at the FaerieWorlds Festival this year! Keep up the exquisite fairy goodness, Rachel!
